Satyam Chairman Resigns After Falsifying Accounts

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Satyam Computer Services Ltd. Chairman Ramalinga Raju resigned after saying he falsified accounts and assets, sending shares of the Indian software services provider to a record decline.

Raju, 53, unsuccessfully tried to sell two companies to Satyam last month in a final attempt to plug 50.4 billion rupees ($1.04 billion) of “fictitious assets” on the company’s balance sheet, Hyderabad-based Satyam said in a statement today. Profits from the main business have been inflated “over a period of last several years,” Raju said in a letter to the board.

The transactions started to unravel after shareholders vetoed the sale of two construction companies, four directors quit the company and the World Bank barred Satyam from bidding for contracts. India’s markets regulator C.B. Bhave said the event is of “horrifying magnitude” as Satyam dragged down the benchmark stock index already hit by a record slump last year.

“This is a black day for India, the software sector and corporate governance claims,” Arun Kejriwal, founder of Kejriwal Research & Investment Services, said in Mumbai. “If at all there’s an event that could be the biggest setback for corporate India, it is this.”

Shares of Satyam, which means “truth” in Sanskrit, plunged 69 percent to 55 rupees in Mumbai trading. The Sensitive Index tumbled 4.3 percent.

‘Non-Existent’

Of the reported cash and bank balances of 53.61 billion rupees on Sept. 30, 50.4 billion rupees was non-existent, Raju said in the letter sent to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Operating margin at Satyam, India’s fourth-largest software exporter, in the quarter ended Sept. 30 was 3 percent of revenue, instead of the reported 24 percent, Raju said in the letter. The company’s revenue was 21 billion rupees, 22 percent less than the inflated figure of 27 billion rupees that had been reported.

Raju arranged 12.3 billion rupees “to keep operations going” at Satyam over the last two years by pledging the founders’ shares and raising funds from other sources, he said.

“What started as a marginal gap between actual operating profit and the one reflected in the books of accounts continued to grow over the years,” Raju said. “It was like riding a tiger, not knowing how to get off without being eaten.”

‘Easy Target’

The founders’ concern was that a poor performance, combined with the fact they held a small stake in the company, would make Satyam an easy target for a takeover, exposing the inflated figures, he said.

Satyam yesterday denied a report that the company received a merger offer from Tech Mahindra Ltd., an Indian software-services provider controlled by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and partly owned by BT Group Plc.

Tech Mahindra termed the report of a proposed all-stock merger as “speculative.”

Earlier in the week, MindTree Ltd. denied a report it was one of two smaller rivals in talks for a merger with Satyam. The Hyderabad-based company is in talks to merge with smaller rivals including HCL Technologies and MindTree, the Business Standard reported on Jan. 5, citing unidentified people at investment banks.

Raju’s attempts to “keep the wheel moving” at Satyam was finally derailed as lenders sold most of the pledged shares because of margin calls, he said.

Reduced Holdings

SRSR Holdings Pvt., which holds the founding family’s stake, reduced their holding to 3.6 percent from 5.13 percent, Satyam told the Bombay Stock Exchange yesterday. Of the 3.6 percent, 1.7 percent is pledged with lenders, it said.

The stake sales by the families of Chairman Raju and his younger brother, manager director Rama Raju, reduced their holdings to below levels held by institutional investors including Aberdeen Asset Management Plc. Funds run by Aberdeen own 6.6 percent of Satyam, according to data compiled by Bloomberg until the end of October.

Raju scrapped the planned acquisition of Maytas Properties Ltd. and Maytas Infra Ltd. last month, less than 12 hours after announcing it, after the company’s ADRs plunged.

Separately, the World Bank Dec. 23 declared India’s fourth- biggest software-services provider ineligible for contracts for eight years, alleging “improper” benefits were given to the bank’s employees.

Satyam was founded in 1987 by Ramalinga Raju and Rama Raju and counts ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steelmaker, and Nissan Motor Co., Japan’s third-biggest carmaker, among its customers.

“This company had a five-star independent board and it had a leading auditor and still it managed the con,” said Tarun Sisodia, a Mumbai-based analyst with Anand Rathi Securities Ltd. “So the question is why only Satyam, why not every other company.”

Sun TV bails out Endhiran‏ (Robo)

Eros International and Ayngaran International have finally washed their hands off their prestigious mega budget project - Endhiran.

Putting all speculations to rest, Sun Pictures, an unit of Sun TV, has brought this multilingual film for a whopping Rs. 165 crores. The production house – Eros International had produced two Bollywood flicks Drona and Yuvvraj recently.

But these films did not do well at the box office and the production house was reeling under severe financial pressure ever since these releases. It is said that the producers were looking for a suitable "buyer" to sell Endhiran, as they could not continue with the project. The major factor that was taken into consideration during the discussion with Sun Pictures was Rajinikanth's call sheet.

It is said that Rajini was due to take part in the shooting from December 19th, 2008 to January 30th 2009. The next schedule was due to commence from February 4th onwards.

The producers probably did not want to waste this all-important call sheet and therefore settled for a quick solution. With director Shankar in no mood to compromise on the production cost of the movie, the extremely high advance amount that Eros International had paid to some of the top actors and actresses from Bollywood for future projects and the overall global economic meltdown, are the other factors attributed to their inability to support Endhiran any further.

An official announcement is expected from Sun Pictures.!

உங்கள் உயிரினும் மேலான அன்பு உடன்பிறப்பு எழுதும் கடிதமிது........

வெகுநாட்களாய் எம் நெஞ்சங்களில் புதைத்து வைத்திருந்த சிற்சில சந்தேகங்களையும் , ஆதங்கங்களையும் , நீங்கள் இந்த கடிதத்தை படிக்க போவதில்லையாயினும் இங்கே கொட்டவே நான் தீர்மானித்திருக்கிறேன்!!!!

எங்கள் குடும்பத்தின் கழகப்பற்றுக்கு ஒரு உதாரணம் சொல்ல வேண்டுமானால் எங்கள் கிராமத்தின் ஒன்றிய தலைவர் பதவிக்கு போட்டியிட்ட எங்கள் பரம விரோதி சண்முகத்திற்கு , அவர் திமுக சார்பில் நின்ற ஒரே காரணத்தால் மட்டுமே வாக்களித்தவர்கள் நாங்கள்!!!இன்றுவரை அறிந்த நாள் முதல் திமுக தவிர வேறு யாருக்கும் வாக்களித்ததில்லை..!!! வாக்களிக்கவும் போவதில்லை!!!!

காரணம்....??

இன்றைக்கும் தங்களை விட்டால் தமிழகத்திற்கு நாதியில்லை என்பதால் மட்டுமே!!!! ஆயிரத்தெட்டு விமர்சனங்கள் உங்கள் மீது வைத்தாலும் அவற்றையெல்லாம் விஞ்சிய உங்கள் ஆளுமை எங்களை இன்னும் கட்டிப்போட்டே வைத்திருக்கிறது!!!!!!!!

நீங்கள் சன் தொலைக்காட்சியை ஆரம்பித்த போதும் சரி...இன்றைக்கு கலைஞர் தொலைக்காட்சியை ஆரம்பித்த போதும் சரி........அதை கண்மூடித்தனமாக ஆதரித்தவர்கள் நாங்கள்......இன்றைக்கும் ஆதரித்துக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்கள் நாங்கள்......அது கழகத்தின் தொலைக்காட்சி , கழக ஆதரவு தொலைக்காட்சி என்ற ஒரே காரணத்தை தவிர வேறென்ன உண்டு?????

இன்னும் ஆதரிப்போம்!!!! ஆரம்பித்த சில நாட்களுக்குள்ளாகவே இரண்டாமிடத்தை பிடித்ததற்கு காரணமும் அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே!! இன்னும் கூடிய விரைவில் முதலிடத்தையும் பிடிக்க்கப்போவதை இந்த நாடு பார்க்கத்தானே போகிறது.....அதற்கு காரணம் , கழகத்தை தம் கண் போல் கருதும் உடன்பிறப்புக்களும் ஒன்று என்ற உண்மை உள்ளங்கை நெல்லிக்கனி!

இவைகளெல்லாம் ஒருபுறம் இருப்பினும் , சமீப காலமாக சில நிகழ்வுகள் அல்லது சில விடயங்கள் எங்களையும் சங்கடப்படுத்துபவைகளாகவே இருக்கின்றன..........கழகப்பற்றையும் தாண்டிய கவலைகள் அவை.....அக்கவலைகளும் கூட கழகத்தை விமர்சிக்கும் போக்கில் எழுந்தவைகள் அல்ல.........ஒரு சாமான்ய திமுக தொண்டனுக்குண்டான ஆதங்கங்கள் என்றே வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம்...!!!!!

· மின்வெட்டே தமிழகத்தில் இல்லை என்றே அனுதினமும் பத்திரிகைகளில் பேட்டி யளிக்கும் மாண்புமிகு மின் துறை அமைச்சர் திரு.ஆற்காட்டார் அவர்களுக்கு "கைப்புண்ணுக்கு கண்ணாடி தேவையில்லை" என்கிற மாபெரும் உண்மை புரியாதது ஏன்??? இவ்வாறு பத்திரிகைகளுக்கு பேட்டியளித்து மேலும் மக்களை எரிச்சலுக்குள்ளாக்குவது ஏன்???

· உண்மை நிலையை மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துச்சொல்லி மின் விநியோகத்தை சீர்படுத்த முயற்சிப்போம் என்று வெளிப்படையாக சொல்வதில் என்ன சிரமம்??? அதை விடுத்து , சிறு வயதுக் குழந்தை தன் தாயின் முந்தானையை பிடித்துக்கொண்டே அலைவதைப்போல நீங்கள் எங்கே சென்றாலும் உங்கள் பின்னாலேயே பின் தொடர்வது , ஆற்காட்டார் போன்ற தலைசிறந்த அரசியல்வாதிக்கு அழகா??? ஆற்காட்டார் தம் துறையில் கவனம் செலுத்துவதில்லை என்ற குற்றச்சாட்டை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் என்பதை ஏன் புரிந்து கொள்ள மறுக்கிறார் தலைவர் ஆற்காட்டார்????

· இலவச வண்ணத்தொலைக்காட்சி திட்டம் தமிழக மக்கள் பெரும்பாலானோர் விரும்பாத திட்டமென்பதும் , திமுக தொண்டன் கூட உங்கள் மேலான ஆட்சியின் சாதனைகளை விளிக்கும்போதுகூட அதை விடுத்தே சொல்ல வேண்டிய சங்கடம் இருப்பது தெரியுமா???? இன்றைக்கும் , நாம் திமுகவின் தனிப்பெரும்பான்மையை கடந்த தேர்தலில் இழக்கக்காரணம் இந்த இலவச வண்ணத்தொலைக்காட்சி என்பதை புரிந்துகொள்வீர்களா???

· ஈழத்தமிழர் பிரச்சினையில் நீங்கள் ஆழ்ந்த மெளனம் , சற்றேறக்குறைய உறங்குவது போலத்தான் இருந்தீர்கள் என்பதை நாடென்ன , அனைத்து தரப்பினரும் உணர்வார்கள்.....சட்டமன்றத்தில் ஒரு தீர்மானத்தை நிறைவேற்றும் போதுகூட அமிர்தலிங்கம் கொலை பற்றியெல்லாம் சொல்லி அத்தீர்மானத்தை மேலும் முன்னெடுத்துச்செல்ல சில சங்கடங்கள் ஏற்பட்டதையும் நாடறியும்..........அதற்கு மேலும் நாம் தூங்கவில்லை , தூங்கவில்லை என்று தோழர் நல்லகண்ணுவிற்கான தங்கள் பதில் , திமுகவின் நிலையை மேலும் பலவீனப்படுத்தும் என்பதை உரிமையுடனே நான் எடுத்துக்காட்ட விளைகிறேன்...!!!!!

· கம்யூனிஸ்ட் தோழர்களின் பால் நமக்கு சங்கடம் உண்டெனினும் , கம்யூனிஸ்ட்களும் கூட இந்த ஈழத்தமிழரின் பாலான அக்கறை என்ற போர்வையில் அரசியல் சதுரங்கம் நடாத்தவே இந்த உண்ணாவிரதத்தை உபயோகித்துக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பதில் சந்தேகம் இல்லையெனினும் , பிரச்சினையின் தீவிரத்தை குறைக்கும் முகமாய் இத்தகைய விமர்சனங்கள் ஈழத்தமிழர்களுக்கு மேலும் மனக்குறையை அதிகப்படுத்தும் என்பதை நாம் உணர்ந்தோமா?????

· நேற்றுவரை இருந்த தயாநிதி மாறனும் , கழகத்தின் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் ஆனது கழகத்தின் மூலமாக!!!முரசொலி மாறனின் மகன் என்பதைத்தவிர அவருக்கும் கட்சிக்கும் சம்பந்தமில்லை!!!! அவரை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதும் நீங்கள் சொன்ன ஒரே காரணத்துக்காகவே!!!!!! இன்றைக்கு மாநிலங்களவை உறுப்பினராக உள்ள கவிஞர் கனிமொழி அவர்களை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதும் உங்கள் மகள் என்பதனால் மட்டுமே..!!!!!!!!!!! அதுமட்டுமின்றி உங்கள் வாரிசுகளின் திறமைகள் மக்களால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டன என்பதை ஸ்டாலின் அவர்களின் பணிகளும் , தயாநிதி மாறன் அவர்களின் பணிகளும் மக்களால் பாராட்டப்படுவதின் மூலமே உணர்ந்து கொள்ளலாம்!!

· நாடறிந்த ஒரு தலைவரின் வாரிசுகளுக்கு அவர்களை அறியாமலேயே அந்த வாய்ப்புக்கள் தன்னையறியாமலேயே வந்து சேர்கிறது என்பதை அறியாதவர்களல்ல நாம்!!!!!!! அதனால் இந்த உலகத்தில் வாரிசு அரசியல் என்ற குற்றச்சாட்டை யார்மீதும் நம்மால் வைக்க இயலாது என்பதையும் நாம் அறிவோம்!!!!!!! ஆனாலும் நேற்று நடந்த "காதலில் விழுந்தேன் " திரைப்படத்திற்கான சண்டைகள் "திமுக " என்ற மாபெரும் இயக்கத்தின் மாண்புகளை குழி தோண்டி புதைப்பது போல இருப்பதை என்றைக்காவது நீங்கள் உணர்ந்ததுண்டா????

· கனிமொழி , ஸ்டாலின் , அழகிரி , மாறன் என்ற அதிகார மயங்கள் தங்களால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவைகள் தானே????? கட்சியின் அடிப்படைக்கட்டுப்பாட்டையே குலைக்கும் அளவிற்கு அந்த அதிகார மையங்கள் இன்று தலை விரித்தாடுகின்றனவே??????? என்ன செய்துதான் அதை தடுக்க இயலும்???? தயாநிதி மாறன் போன்றவர்களை இந்த அளவிற்கு தூக்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டாடுவதற்கு என்னதான் காரணம்?? இப்படி தூக்கிப்போட்டு மிதிப்பதற்கு காரணம் என்ன??? இன்றைக்கு நாமே நமக்கு ஏன் எதிரிகளை உருவாக்கிக்கொண்டோம்?????

· எல்லாம் தெரிந்ததாக தனக்குத்தானே சொல்லிக்கொண்டு , எந்நேரமும் தங்களை அர்ச்சிப்பதையே தொழிலாக்கக்கொண்டிருக்கும் "எதுவுமே உணர்ந்தறியாத" ஞானி போன்றவர்கள் உங்களை விமர்சித்த போது , உங்கள் முதுமையை கிண்டலடித்த போது , அதை முழுமூச்சாய் பற்பல கட்டுரைகள் மூலமாயும் - விகடன் அலுவலகத்திற்கு பற்பல தகவல் தொடர்பு சாதனங்கள் மூலமாயும் அழுத்தத்தை கொடுத்தவர்கள் நாங்கள்...இன்றைக்கு இருவது வயது இளைஞர் செய்ய இயலாத காரியங்களையும் , வேலைகளையும் 85 வயது இளைஞரான நீங்கள் செய்வது கண்டு நாங்கள் பெருமைப்படுகிறோம்!!!!!!

· ஆனாலும் , முதுமையான இந்த வயதில் , கட்சியின் முக்கிய தலைவர்களான பேராசிரியர் , ஆற்காட்டார் , கோசி மணி இன்னும் பலர் முதுமையை எட்டுகின்ற ஒரு வேளையில் கட்சிக்கு புத்துணர்வு ஊட்ட வேண்டியது மிகுந்த அவசியம்...அதற்கு இளைய தலைமுறையிடம் ஆட்சிப்பொறுப்புக்களை ஒப்படைத்துவிட்டு சீனியர் தலைவர்கள் கட்சிப்பொறுப்பை பார்த்துக்கொள்வதே உடனடித்தேவை..........

· ஸ்டாலின் அவர்களை சற்றேறக்குறைய கட்சியின் எல்லா மட்டங்களிலும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஒரு சூழலில் இன்னும் அவரை முதல்வராக்குவதை எந்த சக்தி தடுக்கிறது என்றே புரியாமல் விழித்துக்கொண்டிருப்பது தமிழக மக்கள் மட்டுமல்ல ...ஒவ்வொரு திமுக தொண்டனும் கூடத்தான்....!!! உங்களுக்குப்பின்னும் கட்சி தன் இடத்தை தமிழகத்தில் தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்ள இதுவே வழி....இதைத்தவிர வேறெதுவுமில்லை!!!!

· "ஸ்டாலின்" அவர்கள் தாம் எடுத்துக்கொண்ட ஒவ்வொரு பொறுப்புக்களையும் உங்களின் எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பை விஞ்சி நிறைவேற்றி இருக்கிறார் என்பதை தாங்களும் உணர்வீர்கள் !!!! !தமிழக மக்களும் உணர்வார்கள்...இத்தகையதொரு சூழல் மறுபடியும் கிட்டுமா , ஸ்டாலினுக்கு மகுடம் சூட்ட இதைவிட சிறந்த தருணம் உண்டா என்று கேட்டால் இல்லையென்று சொல்லவே நான் தலைப்படுவேன்...இது உண்மைதானே???

இன்னும் நிறைய..கண்டிப்பாக உங்கள் தொண்டர்களின் உணர்வுகள் புரியுமென்றே நினைக்கிறோம்....எமது ஆதங்கங்கள் களையப்படும் நாளை வெகு விரைவில் எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம்.....

இன்னும் ஒரு நூற்றாண்டுக்கு "திமுக" என்னும் மாபெரும் விருட்சம் தளைத்தோங்கி மக்கள் இளைப்பாற வழிவகை செய்யும் என்றே நாம் நம்புகிறோம்.....

NEW DELHI – Honda Motor Co. President Takeo Fukui on Thursday unveiled a new version of the City, Honda's best-selling compact sedan in India, aiming to boost sales in this key emerging market as concern grows of a global slowdown in the auto industry.

With sales in the U.S., the world's largest auto market, falling to their lowest levels in years, auto makers have looked to red hot markets like India and China to help pick up the slack.

But now, these other auto markets are also showing signs of weakness. In India, auto sales fell in August, the second monthly decline in a row. Sales in China also fell, marking the first decline in auto sales in two years.

"Even in India, they are not immune to the cyclical nature of the economy," says Tatsuo Yoshida, an analyst for UBS Securities in Tokyo. "Investors have been very nervous about near term prospects of the Indian automobile market."

Looking to draw buyers back into the dealer showrooms during the upcoming festival months in India, Honda's new City model is part of a wave of new vehicle launches by car makers into the country's increasingly crowded auto market.

In 2007, the current City model was Honda's biggest seller, accounting for 37,000 of its total sales of 60,000 vehicles. In the first eight months of this year, sales of the current City are up 12% compared with the same period a year ago. The Japanese auto maker is expecting the new model to help lift Honda's India sales above last year's. Honda's goal for 2008 is to sell 80,000 vehicles in India, though it may not reach that target because of the slowdown in the Indian car market.

Honda's Mr. Fukui said the "sturdy" and "roomy" City is "Honda's most significant model" in the Indian market. Though it would be considered a compact, entry-level vehicle in developed markets, the City is viewed as a premium vehicle preferred by business executives here. The new model will cost about 800,000 rupees, making it Honda's least expensive vehicle in the Indian market but still beyond the reach of most car buyers.

Although Honda dominates the motorcycle market in India, the Japanese car maker doesn't yet offer any models in India's small car segment, which make up the vast majority of car sales.

The new City was also launched this month in Thailand, one of 39 countries where the model has been sold since the first-generation City was launched in 1996. Honda is planning to make the City one of its core models, similar to the Civic, Accord, CR-V and Fit.

Infosys Technologies, India’s second-biggest software developer, said it plans to raise the share of its revenues from Europe to counter a slowdown in the US, the world’s biggest economy, which fetches it about 60 per cent of its sales.

Infosys, which earned 28 per cent of its revenues from the European Union in the year ended March 31, 2008, plans to expand its sales and marketing offices and hire more people in Europe. The Bangalore-based company will also post more employees at customer sites in Europe seeking to win more orders and eventually shift a part of the work to India.

“Europe had been slow in terms of adopting offshoring, where as the US is a much advanced market. Now slowly Europe is opening up. It is a great market; especially the UK is a big market for us. But we have some additional concerns like language, and others which we have to handle. We need to have front-end there,” V Balakrishnan, chief financial officer of the company told shareholders.

Infosys has a workforce of over 91,000 employees from 70 nationalities working in over 90 countries. During 2007-08, the company recruited a record 33,177 people against its projected hiring plans for 25,000. The software developer is seriously looking at the new kind of Visa which is in the process of getting approved. Under this, people from countries outside of Europe can go on a short-term work to European countries.

Unlike the US, Infosys does not have good front-end capabilities in most of the European countries except in the UK and certain parts of Eastern Europe.

European market which is dominated by diverse language speaking countries is a concern for most of the offshore IT services companies. Besides, the offshoring norms in most European nations differ from country to country due to tight regulatory norms on data security. “Markets are rapidly globalising with the reduction of barriers to trade. We are encouraged by the European Union’s move to open up their market to the movement of natural persons by creating new visa types that will enable the freer flow of top talent,” said N R Narayana Murthy, chairman and chief mentor of Infosys Technologies.

It is understood that the draft for the new visa types has already been proposed, and it may take one to two years till it is approved. As a part of its initiatives to create a diverse workforce of multi-cultural, multi-ethinic origin, Infosys has started hiring students from universities all across the world.

The first batch of graduates from the UK have already been trained and inducted by the company during the last fiscal year. The company is now examining the possibilities of expanding this programme to many more countries, according to Murthy.

Murthy said, “As corporations grow and globalise, I am convinced that the greatest challenge they will face will be the creation of a diverse workforce.”

For fiscal 2008, Infosys has rewarded its shareholders with a special dividend of Rs 20 per share (400 per cent on Rs 5 per share) for crossing $1 billion in net income under the US accounting practice.

Mumbai based model Saaniya Vahilai was chosen by Perarasu to star opposite Arjun in the female lead role, he wanted to rope in a new actress with the belief that there wouldn’t any problems with the call sheets as the leading actresses do so. But things were completely different once photo shoot of Arjun and Saaniya was over. Mumbai missy didn’t give call sheets to the director and kept delaying in signing as well she was irregular and late to the shooting spot.

So, it all landed up Perarasu in the decision of changing the heroine and pursuit for the new one is going on now…”

“Director Perarasu has been rightly nicknamed "Oorarasu" as he names all his films after towns. He has to his credit "Thirupatchi", "Sivakasi", "Thirupathi" and "Dharmapuri". "Thiruvannamalai is the title of his latest film, starring Arjun and Mumbai import Sania Vakil. Pushpa Kandasamy produces this film on behalf of K. Balachander's Kavithalaya.

Perarasu is known for having sentiment and action in equal proportions in his films. But he comes out of this circle in "Thiruvannamalai". Instead of sentiment, he deals with the burning social issues that affect man's life. It revolves around politics which is getting dirtier by the day, increasing rowdyism and law and order problem. Man is dogged by a variety of problems, personal and social. In some cases man himself is a problem. How a man lives surviving these problems is the theme of "Thiruvannamalai". The film has also a liberal dose of spirituality.

Perarasu met the producer only with an outline and wrote the full story after the producer gave the go-ahead signal. Then Arjun was selected for the lead role.

Perarasu says "Thiruvannamalai" would be a new experience not only for him but also for Arjun. He is not doing it just as a commercial film. For Arjun also it is not another action film. They go beyond and make a new effort.

Arjun plays the role of a Cable TV operator. Sania Vakil is a school teacher. Karunas, who has been typecast as a comedian, is given a character role. Saikumar plays the villain.
The film is being shot in two parts - the first part in Kumbakonam and the second in Thiruvannamalai. The 'spectacular' scenes of "Girivalam", a special monthly event in Thiruvannamalai are a highlight. This mammoth procession of devotees around the hills on every full moon night, in fact, marks the story's turning point, says Perarasu. The background song 'Namma Nadai Pottuputta Veera Nadai..Nammappadai Singappadai," set to the music of Srikanth Deva, is sung by Perarasu himself.

STAR Cricket to telecast ICC Awards

STAR Cricket will telecast the annual International Cricket Council Awards ceremony on September 11 at 19:00 hrs IST.

The awards ceremony, which is to give away nine awards, will be held on Wednesday in Dubai.

There is huge Indian interest for the event as one-day skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma have been nominated in various categories.

The awards will be presented in association with Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) and will take into account performances by players and officials in the period between August 9, 2007 and August 12, 2008.

Vodafone To Beat Airtel To iPhone 3G Launch; Expected Next Month

The iPhone 3G will be available as early as next month in India reports Techtree. As we had reported earlier, the phone was expected sometime in October from both Vodafone and Airtel. The report indicates an earlier launch date of August. Moreover, Vodafone will enjoy a 15-day first-to-market window in India. The early release for Vodafone is thanks to a world-wide deal between Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) and Vodafone (NYSE: VOD).

The 8GB variant is slated to be released first. What’s available for $200 in the U.S. is expected to be priced between Rs. 11,500 and Rs. 12,000. This does not include the data rates, of course, details on which are not due until mid-August.

While on the price, the total-cost of an iPhone has been an point of debate: while it is true that the entry-price for the cell phone has decreased, AT&T (NYSE: T) has actually increased data rates for web surfing (to $30 for 3G, from $20 originally charged for the iPhone) and SMS ($5 to match the original’s 200 message plan), which has led to a total-cost-of-ownership that is actually $160 more than the original iPhone.

While similar data on Indian pricing is not available, we could assume the Indian carriers taking a leaf out of the AT&T policy.

What about 3G? Availability on the high-speed cellular network is still a nebulous ‘sometime this year’. It certainly looks a distance away, it was recently reported by BusinessWeek that rollout might happen as late as the first quarter of 2009. It would be interesting to see the impact of the iPhone 3G without the 3G connectivity, since most of the third-party applications that make the iPhone so useful, directly leverage the speeds made available through 3G.

Speaking of third-party, while the App Store is already available in India via iTunes, the pricing is still at international standards (read: expensive, compared to free)

To charge Rs 1 lakh for every five-minute feed

It's going to be a field day for the 40-odd news channels in the country as they gear up to cover the UPA Government's trust vote on July 22.
From special polls to covering the behind the scenes story, the news channels are terming it as the ‘biggest drama that will get unfolded on television live'.

Amidst this, Lok Sabha TV, the dedicated satellite channel for covering the proceedings of Lok Sabha live, has already despatched letters to all major news channels along with its rate-card for using its signals.

News channels that use more than five-minutes of its feed of the Parliament's proceedings (on July 21, 22) will have to fork out Rs 100,000 for the event.

"We have had the practice of billing the news channels for using our special coverage like General Budget, Rail Budget and No-Confidence voting. And these billings are charged on per-event basis," Sunit Tondon, the newly appointed CEO, Lok Sabha TV, told Business Standard.

Lok Sabha TV is the only authorised television channel that covers all the proceedings in the Lower House of Parliament.

Its signals are taken by the various news channels, specially for events like the Budget and special sittings of Parliament.

Media experts are expecting high ratings on July 22, specially in the evenings when the the voting is scheduled to take place.

"It would be interesting to compare the ratings at the time of voting with some of the popular shows on television," a media expert said.

In order to move away from its dependence on the signals of Lok Sabha TV, the news channels have lined up their owns shows and surveys.

AC Nielsen has done a survey for Star News across 19-cities to gauge the mood of the people before the crucial trust vote. "We are calling it Desh ka Vishwas Mat where people will give their verdict much before July 22. We will of course keep tracking the stories behind the number-game in the trust vote backed by graphics," Shazi Zaman, Editor, MCCS—the company that broadcasts STAR News, STAR Majha and STAR Ananda.

The Lok Sabha secretariat too has made special arrangements for coverage of parliamentary proceedings.

Hundreds of media passes have been given out and giant TV screens will be set up in two conference rooms within the Lok Sabha premises and at a place where the TV crews set up their cameras, said Lok Sabha Secretary General P D T Achary.

I was walking around in a BigBazar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy
this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''Uncle, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll , my dear.'' The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this
doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY.

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it
to my sister when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check
again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''
'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'
Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to
sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that
mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy,
but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.'

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.
I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local
news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state.
The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine,
because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news
paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a
beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and
the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling
that my life had been changed for ever.

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still,
to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk
driver had taken all this away from him.

I am working in one MNC (don’t want to mention it here J) They block all the sites other than google. Recently they had blocked BlogSpot as well, some I tried using proxy and do blogging still
But I was not able to upload images, and can’t test font and some may draw backs… But I don’t know somehow BlogSpot is working fine now.

Million Dollar Password

Another Dismantle Media remake… another near-miss.

The show’s good, I do like the fun of playing along with Password — even if the show is nothing more than a series of classic Lightning Rounds. But Dismantle left so much on the table… I can think of a couple of tweaks that would have made it more fun but kept to the game’s traditions.

The “elimination round” should have been a classic Password head-to-head game to 25 points… part of the fun of the original Password was watching players try to give clues that were useful to their partners without being useful to their opponents.

The Million Dollar Round could have been played under Lightning Round rules, but the goal could have been to guess the Password Puzzle contained in the words in each Lightning Round.

Of course, I liked my idea better — a tournament format (the games could have been classic Password or Super Password, whichever worked better), where the Million Dollar round (played once, at the end of the tournament), would have been a 150-second Alphabetics where there’d have been one Password starting with each letter of the alphabet. 150 seconds to get 26 Passwords for $1 million? Drama, baby…

Maybe we’ll see some of this in the second series. For now, I’ll just amuse myself watching Rachael Ray struggle with comparatively simple Passwords…

The fairy tail run of Rajasthan Royals end in a sweet result as they won the inaugural DLF Indian Premier League, beat Chennai Super Kings in the nail biting Final of IPL, on Sunday, 1st June 2008 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. Rajasthan Royals needed 1 run on the last ball of the match, Tanvir stays in his crease and pulls a short of a length delivery through wide mid-on, What a finish of the match and the 2008 IPL tournament.

Rajasthan Royals required 164 runs in 20 overs and was struggling on 42/3 after 7 overs, but 65 runs 4th wicket partnership between Shane Watson and Yusuf Pathan set the stage for the win. Yusuf Pathan made 56 runs off 39 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Morkel and Murlitharan took 2 wickets each for Chennai.

Earlier Chennai Super Kings set a target of 163 runs by the contribution of Raina and Parthive Patel. Yusuf Pathan tok 3 wickets for 22 runs. What a tornament for Yusuf Pathan!

Rajasthan Royals got Rs. 4.8 Crore as Prize money fo winner, while Chennai Super Kings satisfied with Rs. 2.4 Crore for runner up.

Kushti: New film of great Khali

DALIP SINGH Rana alias ’the great Khali’, a famous WWE wrestler has another entry in Bollywood after ’Rama-The Savior’ with his new film Kushti. Produced by Venus films, Kushti is directed by Rajeev Kumar. Other cast in this film are Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Nargis and Manoj Joshi.

In the film, Nargis is placed opposite to Rajpal Yadav. She is a daughter of a wrestler and his father wants her to marry a famous wrestler only. In this situation Rajpal Yadav has to fight with Khali.

Film director Rajeev Kumar is very happy with Khali and said that he gave 100 per cent to the film. He said that initially Khali was quite apprehensive about acting in the film, but every thing went well. Now Kushti is in post-production stage and it will be released this year itself.

Now the question arises as to which of Khali’s films would be released first - ’Rama-The Savior’ or Kushti.

அந்தக் காசை இணைய வர்த்தகத்தின் மூலம் மட்டுமே விற்க முடியும். அதன் எடை வெறும் 6கிராம்தான். இதில் உள்ள சிக்கல் என்னவென்றால் 33,000 கட்டிவிட்டு நம்மால் மூன்று பேரை சேர்த்துவிட முடியாவிட்டால் வெறும் 6கிராம் காசோடு திருப்திப் பட்டுக் கொள்ள வேண்டியதுதான். மிச்சப்பணம் அவ்வளவுதான். கேட்பதற்குச் சுலபமான வழியாகத் தெரியும், மூன்று பேரைச் சேர்ப்பதற்குள் தாவு தீர்ந்துவிடும்.

இதன் அறிமுகக் கூட்டமே பயங்கர பரபரப்புடன் நடக்கும். முதலில் நவநாகரீகமான இளைஞர்கள், இளைஞிகள் மேடைக்கு வந்து "நான் அந்தக் கம்பெனியில் வேலை பார்க்கிறேன், இந்தக் கம்பெனியில் வேலை பார்க்கிறேன், போன வருசம் இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் சேர்ந்தேன், இப்போ வாராவாரம் எனக்கு 30,000 கமிசன் கிடைக்கிறது, நான் கூட முதலில் யோசித்தேன் இதில் சேரலாமா என்று ஆனால் இன்று நான் கோடீஸ்வரி, நீங்கள் ஆக எப்போ பணக்காரர் ஆகப் போகிறீர்கள்?, இப்போ கூட நான் விமானத்தில் தான் இங்கு வந்தேன். போனவாரம் நான் ஹோண்டா சிட்டி கார் வாங்கினேன் நீங்களும் வாங்க வேண்டாமா? கையில் வெறுமனே காசை வைத்து என்ன செய்யப் போகிறீர்கள்?" என்றெல்லாம் விடுதியில் லேகியம் விற்கும் போலி மருத்துவர்கள் போல மூளைச் சலவை செய்வார்கள்.

இதில் வெளிப்படையாகத் தெரியும் குளறுபடிகள் என்னென்ன?

1. ஒரு சாதாரண தங்கக்காசினை வாங்குவதற்கு இணையத்தில் எப்படி மக்கள் இவ்வாறு போட்டி போடுவார்கள்?

2. நமக்குக் கீழே இருப்பவர்கள் ஆள் சேர்த்துவிட்டால் நமக்கும் கமிசன் கிடைக்கும் என்பதை எப்படி நம்புவது? நமக்குக் கீழே இருப்பவர்கள் ஆள் சேர்த்துவிடுவது நமக்கு எப்படித் தெரியும்?

3. இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் யாரும் நேரடியாகச் சேரமுடியாது. யாராவது உறுப்பினராக இருந்தால் அவர் மூலம் மட்டுமே இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் சேர முடியும். இதன் மூலம் நிறுவனத்துக்கும் சேருபவருக்கும் நேரடித் தொடர்பு இல்லாமல் போய்விடுகிறது.

இப்போது இத்திட்டத்தில் சேர்ந்த எல்லோருமே யாரைக் கேட்பதென்று தெரியாமல் தம்மைச் சேர்த்துவிட்ட நண்பர்களிடம் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

இன்னமும் 'இந்த நிறுவனம் நல்ல நிறுவனம், இதைப் பற்றித் தவறான செய்திகளைப் பரப்புகிறார்கள், எனக்கு போனவாரம் கூட செக் வந்தது காட்டட்டுமா?' என்றெல்லாம் சிலர் இணையத்தில் சவால் விடுகிறார்கள். அவர்களுக்குச் சில தகவல்கள்

1. காவல்துறையிடம் நிறுவனத்தைப் பற்றிப் புகார் கொடுத்ததும் அதன் சென்னை கிளை தலைமை நிர்வாகி(கூட்டத்தலைவன்?) ஹாங்காங் சென்று மாயமானது ஏன்? சட்டப்படி பிரச்சினையை எதிர் கொண்டிருக்கலாமே? இந்நிறுவனம் 2003லேயே ஒருமுறை மோசடிக்காக மூடப்பட்டு சீல்வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்பது கூடுதல் தகவல்.

2. இந்த நிறுவனம் பிலிப்பைன்ஸ், நேபாளம், இலங்கையில் ஏற்கனவே தடை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாம். இந்நிறுவனத்தின் உரிமையாளரை சர்வதேச காவல்துறை தேடி வருகிறது.

சட்டம் சரியில்லை என்பதெல்லாம் அப்புறம். சொல்வதற்கே சங்கடமாக உள்ளது. மன்னிக்கவும். பணம் போட்டு ஏமாந்த மக்களை காயப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் சொல்லவில்லை. விரைவில் பணம் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்ற மக்களின் பேராசையே காரணம். யாரும் ஒரே நாளில் பணக்காரனாக முடியாது. கூடுதல் வருமானம் வேண்டுமென்றால் தற்போது எத்தனையோ வழிகள் உள்ளன. நல்ல நல்ல லாபம் தரும் மியூட்சுவல் பண்ட்கள் எவ்வளவோ உள்ளன. இன்னும் அதிகம் வேண்டுமானால் பங்குச் சந்தை முதலீடுகள் உள்ளன. அதன் மூலம் திறமையுடன் செயல்பட்டு நல்ல வருமானம் பார்க்கலாம்.

மென்பொருள்துறை நண்பர்களுக்கு ஒரு வேண்டுகோள். அப்பாவி, படிக்காத நடுத்தர வர்க்க மக்கள்தான் சீட்டுக்கம்பெனிகளில் பணம் போட்டு ஏமாற்றப்பட்டார்கள் என்றால் படித்தவர்களும் இப்படி இருக்க வேண்டுமா? பெரும்பாலானோர்க்கு அரை மாதச் சம்பளம்தான், அதற்காக தெருவில் ஏமாற்றிப் பிழைப்பவனிடம் காசை அள்ளி வீச வேண்டுமா? :(

Finally the much awaited KANTRI is released and as evident from the promos the film is filled with action packed sequences and the usual songs and dances. This film cannot be termed as a family entertainer as it has nothing for the whole family to sit in the theatres and watch.Story

The film begins with the frame in which Mukesh Rushi is depicted as a rich landlord. He is blessed with a son who returns from US after completing his studies and decides to establish a sugar factory in a village. He has a thought that, by his factory the employment crisis in the village can be ended and the families in the village can have some food to eat. In this process he borrows some money from bank and while returning to his home meets his death through his trusted family follower Potha Raju (Prakash Raj).Prakash Raj Kills the son of Mukesh with the help of his friend Ashish Vidyarthi and runs away with the money. However he leaves his new born son and wife in the village and leaves them to their fate

The scene rolls and then the entry of the hero take place. Kranthi alias Kantri is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Kota Srinivas Rao funds and runs the orphanage and Kantri respects Kota as a god. There is another orphan in the orphanage whom the hero takes special care and treats him as his own brother.

Meanwhile Kranthi joins falls in love with Varalakshmi played by Hansika Motwani and tries to befriend her and follows her everywhere she goes. Then to earn something he joins the gang of Ashish Vidyarthi who is a co partner of Prakash Raj in his evil acts. There Kranthi changes his name to KANTRI.NTR soon attracts Ashish with his action acts and is sent to Hong Kong to assist Prakash Raj. Prakash Raj works as a underworld don of a mafia gang which is involved in circulating fake currency notes, drugs, ammunitions etc and Junior NTR assists Prakash Raj in taking revenge on his professional rival Mukul .meanwhile due to some incidents Prakash Raj learns that KANTRI is his deserted son who he left some time ago.

Now the big break comes as an interval. Some audience feels that this was a much needed break from a large dose of action.

After the interval the scene opens and Kantri learns that he is the son of Prakash Raj who is an evil master of a mafia kingdom. But he denies the relationship as he remembers the agony he and his mother faced in his childhood when his father Prakash Raj deserted them.

Junior NTR once again proved that he is a full fledged actor and also can be termed as a number one dancer in south Indian films. His new slimmed avatar looks pretty good and his dancing steps are apt to his slim figure. The action sequences performed by him are very well done and yes one can say that he is a hardworking and a dedicated born actor.Hansika Sizzles on the silver screen with her charm. Her revealing dress adds the glamour quotient and is a perfect match as a glam doll. Tanisha though has done a small role as the daughter of Ashish Vidyarthi has made her mark in the film. She has done a little bit of extra exposing in this film then usual.

Prakash Raj once again is the show stealer. He has proved once again that his acting is truly flawless and deserves a true appraisal. His get up tickles the audience as she depicts the yesteryear bollywood actor Rajesh khanna.The rest of the villain batch i.e. Sayaji, Ashish and Mukul acted well according to their characters. But the films seem overloaded with the pack of villains in some scenes.

The music by Mani Sharma is a highlight of the film and it seems like he has composed the music aptly for the junior’s dancing steps.The highlight of the film is when the hero Junior NTR enters the films frame on a cycle which is a party symbol of TDP. Some dialogues like praising his grandfather NTR seems to be supporting the present TDP party. And a dialogue of his which recites “Taggindhi Naa Body weight maatrame, Naa Head weight Kadhu” makes the audience in the theatre tickle for some time.

However the lack of comedy and family sentiment may not attract the female audience.

On the whole this film is not a family entertainer and cannot be watched with the family due to high content action and skin show from the heroines.But for the fans of Junior NTR this will be a sure hit.

The results of Plus Two examinations held in March will be announced on Friday.

About 5,87, 245 students took the test in Tamilnadu and Puducherry.

An Education Department statement said 2,78,673 boys and 3,08,572 girls appeared for the examinations.

The number was up by 30,000 from last year as students from 810 schools took part in the series ot tests.

Over 50,000 teachers have been involved in evaluating the candidates.

The results will be announced by Vasanthi Jeevanantham, director of Government Examinations in Chennai.

Simultaneously, the results would be published at schools and the mark lists have been sent to them.

Depositors duped (cheat) by Gold Quest - Be aware

Multi level marketing firm Gold Quest/QuestNet, which is now in the dock in Chennai, is also wanted for duping thousands of people in Hyderabad.

The victims include police personnel, film industry workers and employees of IT companies.

It is alleged that the firm collected crores of rupees by giving gold coins or medallions to people and assuring them more money if they recruited more people.

Following the raids and arrests in Chennai, most of the Gold Quest offices in the city remained closed on Tuesday.

Chennai police on Saturday raided the offices of the company and arrested seven of its employees for cheating.

Police said film actor Chandramohan’s wife Jalandhara was the key member in the Gold Quest network and her office is situated in Himayatnagar.

“This is false propaganda against Gold Quest which is active in 180 countries.

There is no cheating and nobody suffered any loss,” reiterated Chandramohan while talking to reporters.

Meanwhile, members of the scheme thronged the offices of Gold Quest in Surya Towers in front of Parade Ground and other branches in Himayatnagar and Punjagutta.

“We were asked to pay Rs 30,000 initially and Rs 450 as registration,” said Ms Jyotsna, a member of the scheme. “They gave me a gold coin worth Rs 5,000.

But I got nothing else though I was promised more.” The CID had booked two separate cases against Gold Quest Company in 2007 in Vijayawada and the accused were arrested.

“Such multi-level marketing companies are dangerous and affect mostly those on the lower rungs,” said the former CID Superintendent of Police, Mr V.C. Sajjanar. “They are widely active in Vijayawada, Krishna and Hyderabad.” However, Gold Quest, the parent company of the MLM firm QuestNet based in Hong Kong, has been saying its operations are legitimate, though there is a ban on the firm Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Philippines.

In 2003, cases were booked against the company in Chennai. Thousands of people, especially from middle-class families are falling prey to multi-level marketing schemes.

The city police are having a tough time. They are being flooded with phone calls from senior officials and politicians of both Union and state government. All of them have just one request: Don’t pursue the case against Gold Quest International.

The callers included senior bureaucrats from ministry of home affairs, state ministers, personal assistants of senior ministers and top IAS and IPS officers from different parts of the country. “We had to switch off our mobiles as the requests were many,” a senior police officer said. It was on Saturday that the city police cracked down on a chain marketing company and arrested seven persons including its director for fraudulent business practices and cheating.

Earlier, a high court bench, comprising judges Elipe Dharma Rao and S R Singharavelu had set aside the earlier order passed by judge Kannadasan and ordered reopening of the case. In its order dated March 7, 2008, the bench instructed the city police “to file the final report for consideration of the concerned magistrate.” Appropriate action can be taken in accordance with law, it said.

Following this, the central crime branch police, after five years, have reopened the case registered against the multi level marketing company. “We will soon send summons to the 172 persons who lodged complaints against Gold Quest company in 2003. But since the company had already paid investors their deposit amount, they are not likely to pursue the case,” a senior police officer said.
The arrested were Pushpam Apala Naidu (45), managing director of the company in India, Augustine (37) and C S Dhandapani (33), both directors of the company, apart from Hariprabhakar (39), Sumesh (28), Chandrasekar Rao (40) and Vidya (30), employees of the company. Police were acting on a complaint from Dinesh Kumar (33) of Chetpet, who said he was cheated by the company. He had got himself enrolled by paying Rs 62,000 in the company’s multilevel marketing network.

Sources said Pushpam and Augustine were arrested in a similar case in 2003. The Madras high court passed an order on April 19, 2005 and asked the company to repay the amount deposited by its 172 investors. If the company paid the amount to the victims, the case registered with the central crime branch can be quashed, the order read.

A senior police officer said, “Pushpam, managing director of the company, had given a wrong address to the Registrar of Companies (RoC) while registering the firm in 2001. Pushpam had mentioned a lawyer’s address in Shanthi Colony in Anna Nagar as his. We are yet to verify the other addresses.”

My next film Ayin, for instance, will be a whole new concept in Tamil cinema. Then there’s another film for RS Films which has a very stylish theme followed by another project with Murugadoss of Ghajini. After that,let’s see, because I don’t want to do something that doesn’t agree with my sensibilities. I’d also like to improve business for everyone, including my producers,” reasons Surya.
