The fairy tail run of Rajasthan Royals end in a sweet result as they won the inaugural DLF Indian Premier League, beat Chennai Super Kings in the nail biting Final of IPL, on Sunday, 1st June 2008 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. Earlier Chennai Super Kings set a target of 163 runs by the contribution of Raina and Parthive Patel. Yusuf Pathan tok 3 wickets for 22 runs. What a tornament for Yusuf Pathan!

Rajasthan Royals got Rs. 4.8 Crore as Prize money fo winner, while Chennai Super Kings satisfied with Rs. 2.4 Crore for runner up.
